NORTHRUP LAYS DOWN THE LAW

 On saturday night before the largest crowd of the year,
Andy"the Enforcer" Northrup captured the handicap main event. Northrup,
a Los Angeles police officer out battled Shawn MCconnell and Brad oxley to 
gain his first title of the year. I don't know exactly how the prize money 
gets paid out but because it is based on the gate, Northrup picked the best 
night of all to win. Saturday was Orange County Harley night.
With that come an extra 3000 to 3500 fans. Besides great racing we were 
treated to a parade of american metal. After 20 or 30 bikes came on
the track, I asked someone, "at what point do we have a million dollars
in bikes". My guess is it was long ago. 

It was yet another great night in So. Cal. Racing was fast and close.
Rad Brad Oxley made his first appearance in the scratch main event while 
John"the Iceman" Aden made his 5th straight main.

Next week is the return of the National Championship Qualifying Series.
The series will bring together the top 12 so Cal riders with the
top 10 No. Cal riders plus 2 wildcards. All trying to win the US
National Championship. Only 16 will make the cut after the 3 race series.
