OXLEY, UNDISPUTED KING

On Saturday night a king was crowned. "Rad" Brad Oxley was crowned
the king of the classic. He pulled off the three-peat. Nobody other
than Cris Manchester has ever won a race of 20 laps or more, more than once.
After 12 rounds of scratch qualifing Oxley was well seeded into the main event.
Starting from the 60 yard line with a host of others next to him,
he worked his way to the front. Jessie Finch took the early lead
and held it for most of the race. As riders started falling out
Oxley and a few others worked their way to the front.
By about the 20th lap, Finch still had the lead followed by Oxley
Mcconnell and Bobby Schwartz. It was ironic to see a young gun leading
followed by the "older riders, while still younger riders were on the infield
doing all they could just to get air in their lungs.
On about lap 21 or 22 the "older guys"as they were called high in the turn two bleachers,
moved in for the kill. They all managed to pass Finch. From that
point on, there was no cathing Oxley. It was quite a sight seeing all these guys going for 25
laps. I think now, when it comes to the 25 lapper, Rad Brad should change his name for one
night. Maybe to IRONMAN.
Here's the rundown.
